We did.
The FA Trophy is one competition you don't want to be involved in.
Any manager worth his salt should want to have a fighting chance of winning every game. Yes, play a weakened team, but not a youth team in a cup competition that ends up with a final at Wembley. The lead and games in hand you have in the league is such that a run in this cup would not harm you chances. Don't your supporters deserve a day out in Wembley? What about your supporters who travelled to Welling ? They obviously cared about progression in a cup competition.

Fully agree Andy. Especially when according to them they've already won the league. What's wrong in then going on to win the FA Trophy? That would also give a financial boost of winning at Wembley to a club that owes millions of pounds.

I think any suggestions about 3 up from that league have to have fallen away. The quality in there has really been poor lately. Notts have looked lower end L2 at best after doing well down there last season.

It was much stronger league in our days down there and we got out quicker than they did.

Agreed, how much have Wrexham had to spend to be competitive? Signed a few ex premier league players and then picked up top league 1/2 players in January.

Apparently two brothers have put a few million quid in. It can’t be sustainable though.

They're going raspberries or bust. Looks like it'll be third or 4th time lucky and those level of losses haven't adjusted for this FY when they picked up the wigan contingent.

We will have got promoted with coxy's good honest boys for probably 25% of what they've spent in trying.

Two brothers who are Chesterfield fans. Is it any different to Mr Radford?

Yes. Mr Radford bought and owned the club and could determine its direction and budgets. Yes there were outstanding loans mainly to other directors and certainly not public money. There is a huge difference.

Kirk brothers will own 75% of the club.

They'll get hounded out of the club just like Dave Allen did when they do as they claim they are going to do and run the club sustainably - there'll be plenty asking where the money is being spent and spending it for them no doubt.

Dave Allen ploughed money in, built them a new stadium, and even let them have it for nothing when he was sick of them so much he couldn't wait to wash his hands of the lot.

He wasn't like Haslam at all, yet they go off like he was and he's hated.

Unsure how to post a link from X/Twitter but this is what the 20 odd Oxford City fans were treated to last night

The cheats closed the food/drink kiosks due to a low following from Oxford

Use [tweet]link[/tweet], but make sure you change x.com to twitter.com and delete the bit at the end after the question mark.

It’d have been more impressive if you hadn’t predicted it in each of the last 6 you’ve been down there? :D Even a knackered clock is right twice a day.

Well done to the cheats for winning a league that Shirebrook town could’ve challenged in. Fair play though, you can only beat what’s in front of you. Will they be holding a raffle to buy some new defenders .
