Rivalry is good but hate is a horrid word. We need then like they need us and it’s great to see them suffer because they enjoyed our demise but we live and work together if we are lucky to still have a job. Times are hard and back in the day both matches were a sell out. We all wish it was like it used to be.

Once again, for those who can’t read, it’s only sporting hatred.
PS. I am not too sure, but I think that you don’t speak for all of us. I personally hope we never play them again.

I wouldn't object to a few FA Cup 1st round matches (them still non league of course) in the next decade or so.
First match : 04.01.1975 home v Cambridge Utd F.A.Cup 3rd Round 1-0 Clarke

Good post.
Miserable bleeder alert. At no point in my post was there any hatred. Our only rivals area great source of amusement to me in their current predicament and long May it continue in their existence. I even sang ‘We’re going to Wembley, Your not etc’ this morning as I drove by. Is that chant in any way full of hatred, I don’t think so.
Don’t read between the lines with the aim coming to the conclusions you want for you own agendas. You miss the Church Benders, we all miss our derby game but I don’t pontificate on others posts trying to put them down because of it.
Stop passing judgement and smile once in a while, you never know it may actually suit you.

Well I do hate them. I wouldn't give a flying if they folded tomorrow. If they are to survive then I hope we never play them again.
It's not even a good day out anymore what with, changed kick off times, bus convoys, and police herding you like sheep (pun intended).

I wouldn't care if we never played them again. I'd be happy to visit Blob's Bored once a week and tell them how Forest & Sheff United were our real rivals.

As much as I share your dislike/hatred of them I personally would miss the derbies. It is by far and away our fiercest local derby and we have had some memorable wins and bitter defeats. I am not averse to them spending at least a year longer than us is the non-league though!

It's like Stagsnet rewinded ten years. We had the same concerns regarding survival and on field issues although we were never in trouble at the wrong end of the table, even after that terrible run of form just before Xmas one season.

Looks like their next two games are v Altrincham & County. It would be nice if Smith & Knowles pushed them deeper into the mire.
