Great through ball and a professional finish. Goal keeper should have brought him down and risked the penalty.

See why County wanted to talk to their manager and got refused.

Shocking commentary from the BBC, no research done at all and it never was mentioned once who the winner would play, which was Brighton.

At one point the commentator mentioned that he was surprised at Lincoln's fitness and was expecting them to tire.... maybe because they are professionals, just like Ipswich and they train all week

I must be hearing things then, because I thought I heard Gabby Logan say Lincoln now play Brighton at home in the 4th round. :)

i thought that was an entertaining game.
lincoln look a decent side, organised and direct (not hoof) and i wouldn't fancy our chances against them at the moment. it was only in the last 15 or so minutes that they tired and it got a bit conference.
really pleased to see arnold get the winner.
i would prefer not to.

You wouldnt fancy our chances ?

We have won 3 out of the last 4 keeping 4 clean sheets and are unbeaten in 5.
You take some pleasing...

Quality finish from Arnold, and Rhead was fantastic throughout. Hawkridge looked good, as did Waterfall. Well done, Imps. Although Ipswich weren't good, all credit to Lincoln.

Great run and finish by Nathan Arnold for the last minute winner by Lincoln City in the FA Cup. Quality ball by Adam Marriott as well. Luke Waterfall had a good game in defence and Bradley Wood battled hard as he always does. It was also the hardest I've seen Terry Hawkridge work in a game. I thought it was a fairly average performance by Rheady but he was a handful as always.

Danny and Nicky Cowley continue to do a great job. Farman, Wood, Waterfall, Power, Hawkridge, Rhead and Muldoon were all there last season but they have added Raggett, Habergham, Woodyard, Arnold, Marriott and Robinson and somehow turned them into Championship contenders.

Surely that wasn't Ipswichs first team? They were shocking.

I never could understand the dogs abuse Rhead got from some on here and a lot at the ground. A bloody honest player, immensely strong, yet subtle control at times. Never once gave less than his best.
I know someone who will miss him in our side.

Lincoln are a club on the rise, and I say again, it makes an utter mockery of the previous regime who viewed Cup competitions as merely an irritant and a drain on resources.

Did you see the Ipswich goals in the first game?

He drops the odd clanger. I think Northwich Victoria away was another one.

Being as though he left Grimsby in the Summer he'll not go back.
Nathan is on decent money at Sincil and looking good, playing every week. Really nice chap also.
I have the greatest respect for the lad. One of but a few who stayed to see whether he could help get us back up after relegation.

I was under the impression that the reason he stayed with us after relegation was lack of offers from other clubs

Was this not the case?

I think at one point he was going to join Anthony Howell at a Championship club, but it fell through for both of them at the last minute...for some reason.......
Pleased Arnold is now playing well, but he had enough opportunities here under different managers and systems for us all not to sit here wondering what we missed.

He's still very hot and cold, the games I have seen he was pretty anonymous. Waterfall is the one ex-Stag they have who we should have kept.

Yes he was at the time, we barely had him long enough, now he is excellent.

No, the stag we should have kept was Rheady.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

He was probably the last player from the Bill Dearden conveyor belt of home grown players. Good luck to him, he deserves another chance of league football.
