Thats a good idea.

They have an average away attendance this season of 244. In homage to the A38, I'm going 138.

I was sad and drove back from Torquay once using the A38 as much as possible. We had drawn 1-1 with Torquay on Saturday 2nd September 1995. I’d been in Devon and Cornwall for a week beforehand so I had driven the A38 up from Bodmin to Torquay and then had the crazy idea to drive back on the Sunday avoiding the Motorways so logically it had to be the A38. As pointed out it doesn’t exist in certain places and was very difficult to follow through certain towns/ cities like Bristol, Gloucester and Birmingham. Elsewhere it was a beautiful drive and far more relaxing than the motorway although from memory it took about 8 or 9 hours of driving (I had a couple of breaks) to get to Mansfield before heading up to Bradford.

No idea who scored for Stags but Stuart Hadley was top scorer with 8 and Ian Bowling was player of the season

I think I was at that game too. I recall the ref failed to give a blatant handball penalty if it was that game.
Iffy Onuora scored.

Obviously we'd all like us to be higher up the table.

But lack of entertainment ?

Good grief. You're talking nonsense.

second most goals in games played (100 goals, only Hartlepool have had more goals in their games played)
third most goals scored (55, only Northampton and Salford have scored more)
5th highest shots on target
and just for those who like xG: highest xG in the league.

Teams above is all have tough away fixtures tomorrow so if we can best out bogey team things could look rosier come 5pm.

Tricky fixture today.

A win puts us back on course.

IF we win, we'd have taken 4 points from these and Grimsby which is acceptable.

The games are slipping away now though and we need to aim to win all the games to get up the league. the pressure is on the players and manager to get a string of results. Not easy, but we can do it, depends which Mtfc turns up.

There's been a lot of talk about Clough this season, time for him to shut a few of us up, or not...

A true homage would be 38 Shirley.

Someone last did it in 1967 driving a Morris Oxford.

How many years did it take to get there? :D

In 1973, too long ago to remember what motorways were there, but I did Mansfield to Hayle non-stop in 4.5 hours

Time for us to pick it up now and get involved properly. 3 points is a must… you can’t be going 1 win from 6 at this stage of the season if you want to be taken seriously.

Not confident though. We know these will be strong and athletic and I don’t know if we have it in us to cope with it. No doubt they will target Perch & Bowery’s side like Salford did - they need to deal with it a lot better.

We’ll have ‘situations’, might scrape 0-0 and Clough will blame not having his best players.

Just seen Anderson and Wauchope are playing for the 19s. Hopefully this means a few players back for this afternoon.

A few times they’ve played for the youth team and then still been on the bench for the first team.

Ajiboye could have a field day down the right hand side against Bowery and Perch.

This.

I'd swap Akins and Oates though. Put the winger on the wing and Oates through the middle.

Wanting Wallace to go up against perhaps the fastest winger in the league is certainly a choice.

Well we tried Bowery and Perch against Salford’s quick winger and that didn’t exactly go to plan either. There’s not really much other options but I feel with a back 4 they’ll find it harder to get in behind the defence.

I wouldn’t mind either but feel like being able to play off Akins has been one of the few positives in the last couple of weeks.

I’m worried about set pieces today, we didn’t defend them particularly well on Tuesday and Sutton are always a threat from them.

I decided to get to Field Mill bright and early and run from Field Mill to City Ground this morning as part of my training for the London Marathon.
16 miles, then decided to top up to 18 miles.
If anyone would like to make a small donation to my fundraising page for Alzheimer's Society it would be appreciated :)

A few Sutton lads making some noise on the train back. Jokes about missing their stop at Sutton Parkway and all that. I predict another bore draw against our bogey team which would be an improvement on last year.
