COMMENTARY SITUATION FOR FC HALIFAX GAME

After a period of confusion, I can confirm that BBC Radio Nottingham online will not be doing commentary of the game at FC Halifax. The contract covers away league games only, and there is a fee involved to cover FA Cup games, which the management at Radio Nottingham decided could not be justified within their budget and current necessary cost savings. Complaints can be passed to David who will pass them on to his management.
Mark and I have been in touch today with the media coordinator Kelly at Halifax trying to see if we can organise commentary for StagsPlayer subscribers. First blow was that there is no spare ISDN port. Second and rather more surprising blow is that there is no telephone landline. Hence our only remaining option is to broadcast on StagsPlayer via my own mobile phone, and I hope we will be able to do this (to be confirmed). UPDATE - OK we've confirmed we SHOULD be able to do this, and I should be on air from 2.45. However there is scope for things going wrong I have to admit. Please follow this link |
