I think IF he gave Rose 6 games those questions would be answered

I think Rose showed enough yesterday to prove he is good enough.

What like missing a free header from six yards that Walker had to finish for him?

We were well on top in the first twenty minutes. Khan shot straight at the keeper on two occasions. Walker's shot was almost as good as Exeter's excellent first goal, but was well saved by probably the best keeper in league 2. Both teams then scored scrambled goals, albeit theirs created as a result of our defence "switching off".
When Rose replaced Butcher we went more route one, which was a tad disappointing, but it did create clear shooting chances, which we failed to take. To be fair Rose did try and conjure up two acrobatic efforts, but straight at a very competent keeper.
Like everyone else, disappointed with the result, but the over reaction from some on here is comical.

Disappointing that we went more direct !!! It was the only time we really threatened them fgs , it's time some people realise we're in the FOURTH division, you can't tippy tap through most teams you have to mix it.

The teams that usually get automatic promotion from this league are the ones that don't play hoof ball. As did DF with Bury. Notts and Lincoln lumped it last season, got to the playoffs and failed.
As we did yesterday. In fact DF put in place plan A,B and C yesterday. It was down to a few players being off their game and playing against an above average league 2 team.abc wrote:Amber Andy wrote:abc wrote:Amber Andy wrote:Several players underperformed yesterday. Didn't say hoof though did I ? It's about mixing it up and being more direct when you need to otherwise we become predictable. It's also about playing in the right areas and at the right time. Some on here just love to see Bobby roll the ball out to the defenders but a lot of the time when you have pace up front ie Walker, it's better to hit him early and push the opposition back instead of playing in front of them like we tend to do.

No, like making Walker's tap in with a header.
