Dylan Stag is sure getting into the Stags thing now after a handful of games and wanting more. He would like some kit but this is severely lacking and as part of his matchday experience he is now interested in "football food" but I have to admit I need to manage his expectations in that respect! This thread reaffirms it.

In terms of him getting more into the Stags thing, it is a little off thread, but as I am writing/typing, in part it is down to those we sit or stand around that makes the day for him so an ongoing thank you (you know who you are).

Crawley at home next up and I'm taking him into the West Stand Lower this time around near the tunnel (his previous home game experience has been the QLE).

I started going late 60s and there were always carts and merchandise to buy albeit from that era, scarves, hats, rosettes, photos, programmes, anything.......for me, and its not just a nostalgic thing, walking up Quarry Lane and into the ground is soul less now....apart from what tge team is doing for us, where is the buzz, the excitement.....its just sterile.

For another unrelated reason, I have just checked my bank account on line.

What I discovered really annoyed me.

That awful greasy sausage roll I purchased at the One Call on Saturday, the one that left me feeling as though I'd swallowed a brick, cost an unacceptable £3. In general it's not the price that matters but in this case it was daylight robbery.

I will be emailing the club, I suggest other dissatisfied consumers do the same.

Considering you do not get a receipt at the club to check the cost and I wouldn't object to supporting my club with £3 if the food was anywhere near of acceptable quality. Greggs blows MTFC out of the water when it comes to quality and their produce is half the price and hot.

So get off your high horse clever sheet.

TBF to the club, neither Greggsor the Pound Bakery are opening once a fortnight to a few hundred punters.

Food in football grounds has always been massively over priced & the prices are posted, so no one should be surprised.

My gripe Saturday was that I'd paid the premium price for a product that was inedible.

I’ve never had a hot Greggs sausage roll yet.
Like they’ve been cooked with a 1970s hairdryer

Exactly. Difficult job catering once a fortnight, but doesn't excuse poor food at point of sale.
Much of it will be down to poor cooking, multiple reheating, keeping warm.
Pukka make disgusting pies compared to Bowrings, but I think they are probably made to stand up to the fast food cooking mistreatment far better.

Forget pies, have a crack at this...

I emailed the club last week with my view on the quality of the food being sold at premium prices.

An acknowledgement was received stating they would be in touch, needless to say they have not.

Just adds to my opinion that whoever is running the club on a day to day basis hasn't got the best interests of the supporters at heart.

Probably the same person who didn't reply to me about my seat getting water running onto it.

Likewise when I complained about the racist singing. Message received but nothing further.

Waste of time anyway, when I reported how we were treated at Port Vale away (hands in wallets etc), she couldn’t be arsed to reply.

I bet they didn't serve them one that was black on the bottom and reheated three times like they do to us peasants.
