It's gonna be tough to get it on, but hey if they do and FGR can cope with the bog and win then we should too... shouldn't we?

We need the battlers in for this one.

Andy Cook will be keen to stuff it up us once again and there will be a large home crowd to roar them on. I think, given our recent results, we will start as underdogs but feel that will work in our favour.

A proper war but we’ll pinch it 1-0.

Lost 3 out of the last 6 compared to Bradford’s 4 wins and a draw with their only defeat coming in the last game.

What’s funny about that?

We’ve not lost consecutive games this season and i expect the players to go and get a win.

We’ve been here before when we’ve been on the final fence and we’ve fell, none of us want or can deal with that again.

With MK at home to crewe a win here would really be a huge leap forward as we’d be 8 clear of one /(or 6 clear of both) with a better GD and a game in hand on MK.

Let’s do this.

Nah i said it after walsall, we’ll be fine.

Tbh even a point here would do if they both draw, keep it at 5 points with the GD and another game down.

We’ve then 5 of the last 8 at home.

Who have won 3 and drawn 1 of their last 6 gaining one point more than us in the process.

If you read all of my post you will see that I predict us to win but I don’t think we are the favourites.

We are the favourites though. Bradford 21/10, Mansfield 11/8.

Didn't do the ref report the last few games. And we've been iffy so I'll do it again.

Saturday's ref will be Martin Coy.

His last game for us was a late December 2022 game away to Hartelpool when we won 2-1

Martin rated him: 6 Should have sent Featherstone off for a really nasty challenge on Oates. Missed the foul by Menayese on Maris which led to him limping off. Otherwise did ok.

We then need to go back to Boxing Day 2019 for our 2-2 draw at home to Port Vale

Martin rated him: 7 Good game

17th November 2018 he reffed our 1-0 home win over Port Vale He sent off a Port Vale player in this game.

Martin rated him: 7 Correctly, in my opinion, ignored half-hearted appeals for a Vale penalty. Correctly sent off Oyeleke and booked five other Vale players.

He returned 2 months later that season to ref our 1-0 home win over Crawley

Martin rated him: 7 Good game. Got most things right, though he could have given Lewis Young a second yellow card with several bad fouls after his first yellow card.

In Jan 2016 her reffed our 0-0 home draw with Yeovil

MArtin rated him: 6 The first time he’s refereed a Stags game. Didn’t have any major decisions to make. Didn’t get a grip on time wasting. But generally was ok.

Sickness bug hits The Gills ahead of this weekend although they play Grimsby so maybe not impacting us and the bigger picture but they are in the playoff hunt

A friend of mine with whom I've worked at Kent Sports News has asked whether we'll have promotion wrapped up by the time they come to us - I stuck my neck out and said yes (caveat - I'd like to think so)
