Fantastic performance and one to remember and savour.

Having said that I hope we don’t go down that road again. Showed no respect at all to Barrow.

A much better thing for JR to do is give NC an extended and improved contract.

John Lomas just been on Hawksby and Jacobs, a really good interview, as usual with those two, who are brilliant. John spoke really well.

Harrogate's goalie last night also played in the infamous end of season game Bristol Rovers 7 Scunthorpe 0.

Still on cloud nine another top performance i could not get to the game but the fans and the players made it a special nlght.
Martin kept me on edge saying if heavy rain came the pitch could be unplayable, i lived on my nerves and the clock stood still.
Another game were we can enjoy the rest of the week, but Saturday back to living on our nerves and another match day.
Hewitt and Gale back in training so more options for Clough,

I have rewatched the goals several times today such is the dreamlike state of having watched it!
A few things are really standing out
- the movement off the ball
- the intensity and tempo of our play
- the selflessness of players in form (Akins let the ball through his legs for Nichols goal and let the ball run for DKD's), Swan's touch for Boateng's third etc
- the control on the 7th from Brunt on a poor pitch in pouring rain to take the ball as it fell from the keeper, run forward and distribute it so well whilst running forward and creating space for the attackers
- the sheer quality of flicks and touches that all came off from a range of players

The difference from our last home loss when players were snatching at the ball and taking high risk, low reward shots as they needed a goal is remarkable. What a night

Yes completely agree with that, though I thought the pitch played well and suited our slick passing. Yes due to the amount of rain its not looking great but both sides were able to play the ball on the deck with ease. I'd be interested to know what the players thought.

Fair comment, Rob. There were couple of times that I think players expected it to stick in the mud near the IG stand but it was quite slick.
The passing felt so accurate compared to recent home games

I'd have said the same if it was any other player.

why we protecting a 9-2 lead? if it was 3-2 then absolutely we should have done that.

And you would have been wrong about them too. Look at the incident again, when JB picks the ball up, he's already heading toward the corner due to the flight of the ball. He has 3 defenders closing in, he looks for a teammate, but no one is on, so he takes the ball into the corner where he tries, unsuccessfully to win a corner. There was never an attempt to waste time.

But you just keep doing you.
