I would very much doubt it. Often it is more important to keep your better players than signing new ones. Hopefully it will be a quiet January transfer window for us.

Bolton are interested, but they won't have the money for him plus they are doing more than well enough without him anyway right now.

Like Hawkins and Lapslie money talks and Mansfield are a selling club all players have a price
What the player wants also comes into it.
We have been lucky keeping so many off our squad, a unhappy player is no good to us.
Clough has worked in this environment at Derby and Burton and has a robust scouting system.
Clough will always work in the clubs interest, but will never stand in a players way

Hawkins and Lapslie only had six months left on their contract and wanted to go closer to home while also getting a ridiculous contract offer, it was a no brainer and we replaced both with better players in Kilgour and DKD.

Any idea what’s left on DKD contract? Either way I think the summer will be a task keeping hold but I’m not concerned this months

The deal for Lapslie and Hawkins suited everyone at that time. Losing DKD now wouldn't suit us, and for that reason as well as him being contracted for another 18 months it wont happen in this window.

Do you think JR would let us be this close to promotion to let our best player go? Might aswell give up if so.... No chance it happens this month.

I personally think he'll want to get promotion with us and if that happens it depends on what the club and the player want in that order. Anyway who says he wants to leave?

If the right offer comes in then they will consider it, otherwise no.

Cant see the Radfords allowing that to happen, he’s said multiple times how much he loves it here. Money talks though, lets hope not

Completely.

Unless a crazy bid comes in or DKD really wants to force something he’s staying to get the job done

DKD to me looks like he’s really enjoying himself here even if someone came in for him and I don’t think for one second the Radford’s would sell but even if they did I don’t think DKD wants to move.
Forget Messi or Ronaldo I'd rather have good honest boys in my team.

My thoughts too , you’ve only got to see his goal celebration at Stockport

Unless Sunderland came in for him, I'm sure he'd be very happy to stay where he is for now.

What would be a fair price for him in today’s crazy prices? I saw someone mention £2,000,000 for Langstaff, surely that means at least £1,000,000 for DKD.

Still not quite sure how we managed to get him in the first place. Do Burton have a sell on clause? They’ll be kicking themselves if not.

Why would DKD be worth half if Langstaff?
