Using Martin's ratings for players who start games (numbers in brackets), the averages are as follows
7.59 Flint (27)
7.49 Akins (43)
7.44 Quinn (31)
7.38 Keillor-Dunn (45)
7.20 Bowery (38)
7.19 Pym (47)
7.07 Reed (30)
So it looks like Flint or Akins as the player of the year.

Problem with using ratings is its just one persons opinion. For every Man Of The Match Martin picks somebody else will think it was a different player.
Also, individual match ratings dont take into account a players stature or influence. For example, Akins not playing affects the whole structure of how we play. Yet he might not be the best player every week. Hope I'm making sense.
