I’d have imagined it was in Cloughs thoughts to get JJ primed for being sent out on loan in January for the rest of the season to spend his wages on getting someone in, in advance of being released in the Summer.

We beat others to his signature so he will be on good money. Teams will want to try and take him on loan but will be wary of taking on all his wages with his injury record so far.

That is correct. I have a friend who is a Donny supporter and he told me they were trying to sign him. I think we offered him a longer contract than Donny.

Steve Chettle, Professional development phase lead coach, after the Central League Cup game against Lincoln, commented on a possible hamstring injury for O'Toole:
"We don't know too much at present. The physio took him straight off, as a precaution, we didn't want to take any chances and make anything worse if it is something sinister."
