I dashed back from the pub at 6 45 to get mine but when I got into my bedsit the cat had knocked the budgies cage over trying to get at it and by the time I had sorted that out they had sold out . Luckily got one now

Saturday night is Strictly Come Dancing, Bake off is on a Tuesday - that is when i get sent to watch my own 'rubbish' on the other telly

How many tickets have they given us?
Surely they could sell us more (Side stand and a section behind the goal?) although they may not want too

They’ve been selling that amount all season and giving their fans behind the goal. Whereas it’s annoying they’ve not just introduced it for this game etc.

Shame we ain’t got a big screen in the ground and could sell tickets for a fiver and have the bar open to make a few extra quid on the day especially for a top of the table clash

No it shouldn't. They would only make it a 12:30 kick off. That's the last thing we want.

It's on iFollow.

They were poor in the cup last night. 6 without a win now. Wonder if some of their fans have already forgotten their brilliant 13 game league run, like modern football fans do?

A friend who has supported Man City for 30+ year attends every game home and away. Was in the top 10 for the allocation of away tickets in their loyalty scheme. No children, very good job and flexible employers.
Then Man City introduced a charge which allowed you to double up your points which he paid to stay in the top 10

Are loyalty schemes fair or just favour the better off with time and money?

Well yes (in terms of time, no for paying for double points). End of the day if you choose not to have children to give you more free time that's your choice, seniors who have retired have more time to get to games etc. I have had a child and fully accept my away days are not as regular as two seasons ago. I wouldn't want to get a ticket over someone who attends every game. If they have the flexibility to get to every match, fair play and that should be rewarded.

My only annoyance is those who play the benefit system, don't work and get to every game. That's a different argument all together.

Implying not having children was through choice

It wouldn't be a loyalty system. Let's call a spade a spade here. It's an affluency and leisure time system. It's mot the lost loyal fans it's the ones with this largest bank balance and/or spare time.

True. And away matches are not designed for seniors, so to downgrade people who aren't up to the rigours of the away match experience is not rewarding loyalty either.

I always wonder why we call County bedwetters, when if you go any distance away, the average age of the following is about 70 I reckon....

What utter rubbish.

So every premier league and championship club are wrong for having such a system in place are they?

Took 5 minutes to quickly have a look at other clubs using a loyalty system. Could have gone on no doubt.

Again, this would only be needed for those high profile games where demand far outstrips supply.

Swindon

‘ Town to reward and recognise fans who give up their time and money in travelling to away games’

Peterbrough

‘The Posh ticket priority scheme was introduced to recognise the supporters who attend both home and away fixtures giving a fairer priority to purchase tickets for high-demand matches.’

Bradford

Port Vale

‘with the opportunity to purchase sought-after tickets, particularly those that travel both home and away with Andy Crosby’s black and white army’

Plymouth

People talk like it’s a completely alien concept, when in fact it’s perfectly commonplace.
