The Wrexham fan escorted from the ground during the minutes silence on 4th Nov has been given a three year ban.

Apparently he was very drunk and shouted ‘cmon the town’ once.

Hmm seems a bit harsh punishment for what he shouted. A telling off would have been more appropriate

I doubt that's all. As far as I'm aware, whilst extremely distasteful, it's not a criminal offence not to obey a minutes silence ........

If you can bear to go through the Wrexham forum, the point is made in some length that he was so drunk, shouted that out and was bolshy afterwards that it was drunk and disorderly / risk of causing further breach of the peace.
Inevitably the person who made the same point as you was dismissed as a snowflake leftie, Rob

Stupid as it was I'm sure there was a war fought for his right to do it if he so chooses

I strongly suspect that if it was during any other minute's silence there would not be any action taken

As you know I am a fully paid up member of the woke (centre) leftie snowflake club

Yes clearly the offence wasn't the shout, but his drunken behaviour. Its one thing I've never understood, this need to get smashed out your head before a game.

Still seems harsh to get a 3 year ban for getting pissed up.

I suppose until we know exactly what happened it's tough to judge, I still think there is more to it than we know. Did he have previous or did he threaten anyone, we don't really know. You don't normally get a 3 year ban for just being drunk, we'd hardly have any away support if you did
