Is McDonald available Saturday or is it a two game ban with it being his second suspension.?

Or if it is a two game ban would tomorrow count as one of those games?

It was a one game ban.

If I was to choose between the two I'd go for Cargill ahead of MacDonald anyway, especially at Swindon. No slight on MacDonald at all, but Cargill is a proper defender - if it wasn't for the fact Brunt and Flint have been so good, we'd have been waxing lyrical about Cargill,

It would have been a proper conundrum for young Nigel if Alfie had stayed fit as to who he'd have picked to partner Aiden.
Baily has been unlucky that Brunt has grown up so much in his approach to playing Lge 2 now. His step outs are more measured now and no so often.

Should point out that I'm not suggesting we change anything to accommodate this just a bit if fun and showing our depth but.... (just thought I'd get that in before people are all "but we're doing well.)

Back 3 of Flint Brunt and Cargill (with Kilgour, Williams, O'Toole backup) would be a formidable back 3 in this league

Rest of squad still strong.

Johnson, Lewis, Hewitt at RWB

MacDonald, and McLaughlin at LWB

Reed Maris Quinn Clarke Boateng in midfield

DKD, Oates, Bowery, Swan, Akins and Gale up front.

I didn't forget Cooper as such. I did contemplate whether to include him or not but thought with essentially 6 players ahead of him I can see him going out on loan. Same reason why I didn't include Abdullah and the like.

Gale got included because he has had quite a bit of game time this season (well more than Cooper anyway.)
