To replace who? Akins? Oates? DKD? Or another to sit on the bench getting 10 minutes here and there? Which of our usual starting XI is this speedy winger replacing?

Or will we pull a Kellan Gordon and play him at full back and then wonder why he's not that great there?

We need someone to cover Akins as we look a shadow of ourselves without him, either in Jan or the summer

I suspect that Bowery or Gale were considered to be the cover

Gale shoudn't be anywhere near the 1st team and Bowery isn't capable of doing the holding job Akins does.

Did not get off to great start , is form starting picking up just before is 100th league goal.
Since then he as become the first name on the team sheet.
There was a lot of doubters to start with but he as had nothing but praise since putting good performances on the pitch since.
People will always judge as someone signs , like Hewitt who got some stick but players who go out and give there best and perform consistently will soon have the plaudits they deserve.

I have never liked to pull players down , best leaving to NC to judge and he make decisions on who starts.

Personally wouldn’t trust either if Akins got injured for a period of time. Bowerys hold up play isn’t the best and Gale looks like a Sunday league player.

He’s done really well since his poor start, think the last few have shown how important he actually is, anyone who doubts that is living in la la land.

Where do you think we are going to find a player who can do the Akins role better than Bowery, but would be happy to spend all his time sat on the bench unless Akins is injured or suspended ?

Probably the same place as the clinical striker who also sets up as many chances as the player he replaced.
