Nigel Clough:
"John-Joe O'Toole had a scan and it was worse than we feared. He got a whack on the side of the calf against Notts County (U21's on 14 Sept).
"Six weeks from the injury so that rules him out for most of this month."

I think you can be pretty certain that he’ll be released at the end of the season, if he doesn’t go before.
