Notts County game Sky, Stags allocation of tickets sold out

Postby Stagnant » Fri Sep 01, 2023 9:08 am

I don't suppose we know anything official on this as yet? I'm taking the 3pm as a placeholder for now. Hoping to book the train as soon as we know the official time.

Have you heard that it is staying that way Martin? I’d be surprised but hopefully that is the case.

I have heard no suggestion that it will move from 3pm. We haven't had any games moved from 3pm on police advice since 2019 I don't think, unless I've forgotten one.

Notts County away in 2019, 2018 and 2017 were all 1pm kick off according to the Stagsnet reports, so you'd think there is a high chance of that happening again this time.

We haven't played them since 2019 and 2016 was a midweek 7.45pm kick off.

Thanks both - yes, that's kind of where I am at the moment! Would be nice for Notts to give us the positive confirmation, but I suppose they are at the behest of the police.

Notts County home too still showing 15:00pm too. If that is going to change it would be helpful to those of us who have to arrange our working shifts many months in advance to be advised accordingly.

Had a 3pm KO in a pre season against forest which has had a history of trouble.

On that basis there’s no reason why they’d change our time.

Plan for a 1 o clock kick off then you can’t go wrong. More time on the beer if it stays 3pm

With this game being played on an international weekend, is there any chance that Sky will pick it for a tv game.

Doesn't that improve our chances as we are only up against the one game instead of two Salford/Wrexham games?

I suppose it is only 30 minutes earlier than normal. Used to like the 3pm game best.

When was the last time we played each other when we were both doing well? I don’t think I can remember a single time in all my years supporting the Stags.

This is going to be bigger than usual and as much as I hate Sky faffing with kick off times at least it will allow more Stags fans to see the game as demand for away tickets will certainly outweigh supply.

I think this might reduce our ticket allocation from Country, with the extra TV money & the game being live reducing the risk of ticketless Stags fans going in the home ends.

Whatever we do get, we will sell out, but it won'tbe the 4,000 we've had in the past.
