Eyres' red card stands
http://www.nationwide.co.uk 12 Mar Oldham have failed in their bid to have David Eyres' dismissal during the match at Mansfield Town earlier this month overturned. The Latics veteran had the support of the Stags' Craig Disley and Paul Holland who described the incident as "a tangle of legs" but the referee is standing by his original decision. He has described Eyres' tackle as a deliberate foul with the intent to kick another player. Eyres will miss three games, starting with Saturday's crucial clash against play-off hopefuls QPR. |
