NEW MANAGER TO BE ANNOUNCED ON TUESDAY MORNING

mansfieldtown.net reports that the wait is almost over! Mansfield town Chairman Keith Haslam will be announcing the new manager of Mansfield Town Football Club at 9.30am tomorrow (Tuesday 1/11/05). The shortlist of three names was drawn up from some fifty or so applicants and the Chairman's final Choice will be introduced to the members of the Press in the morning.

Six weeks of speculation will finally be put to bed when the name is revealed at a 9.30am press conference. Billy Dearden, Paul Hart and Stuart McCall are all names that have been strongly tipped. But current caretaker Peter Shirtliff must be favourite after leading the side to the Carling Cup third round and taking seven points from the last 12 available in the League. |
