Let’s see if JR rewards the season ticket sales with a Stella striker signing shall we, could see this working out well for all parties you never know !!

I'd prefer stellar, but if we have to settle for Stella I can cope.

You've not seen Stella play!

It's almost as if Clough is the best judge as to what we need

Problem is Coventry paid £1m for him and will want a decent amount of that recouped.

The extra 300 or so season tickets sold will bring in c75k.

Lovely to have and obviously great numbers but wouldn't cover half of Tyler's wages never mind any potential fee.

Interested in Pym from Peterborough according to Chad. He wants to come but we have yet to deal with Posh.

I always thought Pym be a good signing, didn’t think it be achievable though.

Be a cracking signing, definitely a improvement on last season version of Bishop.

Always thought Pym to be a decent keeper. Hope we pull it off

Now Evans has bought Aaron Chapman I doubt he's in for Pym. Think that will be the third time he's taken Chapman with him.

Hope we can get the deal done, he’d be a solid addition. An improvement I reckon

Not much extra money if the extra season tickets are free under seven year old ones though.

It’s only extra money if our crowds go up. If the home attendance stays the same the club is making less money, as there as fewer people paying full whack pay on the day prices.

But they have the money when they can use is best rather than in dribs and drabs throughout the season.

Would some income be lost with some people moving to the QLE end?

Why won’t we need a transfer kitty in January?

Yes we will, but budgets for the season are set in the summer (we’ve heard Sharpe talking about it for months). The budget for January is usually any surplus from the Summer plus what you gain from wheeling and dealing.

Any difference in the ticket sales by selling more season tickets will probably be about 10% difference, but gives the club a heftier budget up front.

Not suggesting John and Carolyn should, but I’d imagine they are happy to sanction spend outside the general budge for a player etc that will really add something…I.e when fatty was in charge with his ability to extract ‘extra’ funds was obvious!

I’d imagine Clough is the person who will be wanting to stick to a budget, seems like he respects the owners cash…I wish there was a balance though otherwise I can see us not quite having enough again… feels like we need to add 2-3 better players than we had last season, boetang might be one but some young loaners won’t work.

Seems to be loads of sound bites about only just missing out on automatic, bad run did us etc, I have to be honest we simply weren’t good enough in some departments, makeshift defence only improved when JJ came in, strikers v. Poor other than Oates who still didn’t score enough, total lack of pace… so far we haven’t addressed these issues and I’m not hearing that we will unless cards are being kept close to the clubs chest!

I think he keeps mentioning the bad run meaning we missed out on automatic promotion because it’s true and the stats back it up.

You can argue whose fault it was that we were in the bad run, and I personally think Clough played a big part in that bad run, but you can’t argue that had the league started in October we’d have been automatically promoted. It’s a fact. For 37 games the squad was good enough, for nine they weren’t.

What is yet to be seen is whether the replacements for the five or so squad members who have departed are adequate, and we won’t know that conclusively for a good few months yet.
