Think both teams have been poor really despite it being a pretty entertaining watch, I don’t know how Chesterfield didn’t score at the end! This County side have a job on beating Torquay and then either Hartlepool/Stockport probably but momentum may carry them through.

From a Mansfield point of view, I expected more out of Knowles and actually thought he looked well out of his depth on that showing. Will be interested to see how he gets on next week v Torquay if he gets some minutes but I’m not sure he will be involved with us next year. Sinclair looks clear from what I’ve seen.

Cheats finished when their keeper pulled his knee.

In reality they should have been out of sight as Tyson proved how poor he is missing 3 1 on 1’s.

I can’t see Torquay having many problems but their own form has been erratic

He's not even been in the squad for the last 6 games, to expect him to be at full match fitness is unfair on him and was a very strange decision by the Notts manager.

An absolutely cracking game. The Spireites blew it by not having a reserve keeper on the bench. Nevertheless Nathan Tyson had a great chance to win it for them but Mrs Slocombe's Pussy redeemed himself with a great save after making a mess of saving Danny Rowe's great strike from the free kick in the first half. He also made a good save in extra time and from the last kick of the game. Two good set piece deliveries from Ruben Rodrigues, two goals from Kyle Wootton and a headed goal and assist from Mark Ellis although he played Nathan Tyson onside twice. Jimmy Knowles was disappointing as a 2nd half sub.

A fourth season in the pit of doom for the cheating Spireites.

Come on Torquay and Gary Johnson!!

I only saw the second half. Let’s just say I wasn’t impressed by either side.

Chesterfield effectively lost the match when their keeper went down injured and was forced to stay on. Somehow Notts could only manage two efforts on target for the rest of the game.

Assuming Torquay are half decent, I expect them to brush Notts aside next weekend.

Good game to watch , happy Notts won, moving on to Torquay and a win for them, told my mate Knowles was a Mansfield player and then told it how it was.
A good learning curve for a young player, i feel not having a sub goalkeeper on the bench was a factor in the game.
Also a good learning curve for their manager, what a bad decision that was.

As I saw the game, the cheats were just a bunch of cheating, time wasting,
Thugs who didn’t have any quality. County were by and far the better team but
look a “nice” team to play against.

Well done to the pies for doing us all a favour by beating the sheep blueberries but I can’t see them beating Torquay. Is it just me who can’t stand the spireite manager? He looks a right jumped up head up his own arse of a manager

Is their manager complaining about the stonewall penalty that wasn’t given against them?

County were the better side.Knowles would not get in our squad even before we get one or two new strikers.I personally hope County get promoted for the simple reason it would give us two derby games. This enables us to have a large crowd at both games giving our owners some pay back which helps the club and them financially.

Such a shame for Chesterfield eh. Thank you Notts County for that. You are my 93rd favourite team now

In my opinion Mr Rowe only has himself to blame. Sat back at 2.1 up and allowed a shocking county side some momentum to get back into it.
Tottenham may have 2nd thoughts now lol

It's been tough trying to post anything on here since six last night, as every time I attempted it I'd fall off my chair in fits of uncontrollable laughter.
My daughter thought it was too dangerous and worried I'd bang my head so unplugged t'Wii.

Slept on it now and calmed slightly, so chortle, chortle.

Sweetness though knows no bounds, and we have at work during t'Euro's the option of wearing the shirt of the football team you support whilst driving provided you pay a quid a day to our (MacMillan Nurses ) charity fund. Needless to say Pronto's to Cheaterfield during that time wearing the Famous Amber will be an absolute blast :hysteria:

I'm not averse to Notts getting promoted too. Rather play county than Torquay or Bromley, neither of which will bring any away fans.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.
