A bit like the radfords he saved us in our hour of need at our lowest point. I’ll always be great full for the successes, not such a fan of the style but when in the mix at the top end of the table you can’t say it’s not exciting.

Loads of thanks PC. Especially turning winger Matt Green into a top striker for us and getting rid of our soft under belly with good honest boys

Love Coxy. He was a gigantic factor in our rise to the stable, solid club that we are today. As for the comments on his playing style, I'd say this: in all my years at the Mill I've seen very, very few teams playing tikka takka. Why can't we just enjoy our success when it comes around so rarely? I'll always associate him with great times, winning football and the rise of the Radfords. Decent bloke too.

Again I am someone who thought Coxy was great.

Anyone who can get a team to win three away league games in a week has got to have something about them with a team that really didn’t have star players in it.

I will never forget those three games, all different in some aspects but all same in other aspects.

It started low key with a 1-0 win at Hyde United with a fluke goal from Louise Briscoe and last gasp goal line clearances from Luke Jones. Then on to Luton with a last minute winner from London Meikle and then on to Lincoln with Matt Green getting another last minute winner finishing off with Greeny waving a corner flag above his head in front of the fans. Great times.
Those accustomed to privilege may feel that equality is oppression.

Watching games back then were just fun, great days out, great atmosphere. The momentum Paul Cox built in his sides was something special. We went into every game thinking we could win.

Paul Cox will always be a hero in my eyes.

He got us out of the abyss of the conference and put some solid foundations down, which so far haven't been built on. (hopefully NC continues the build)

That night in Hereford will be with me until the day I die and in 40 years of following the Stags is my number one game, it still brings a tear to my eye/

Seemed a really nice bloke who just let the pressure of the FL get to him in his last season with us.

However, he deserves a place at the chairpersons table for as long as we have a football league club.

I think it was probably more due to the budget being cut.

Some people will always remember him by his football we saw in the league. But even when we did romp the league on that fantastic run we still played some great football.

Always good to watch when we hardly lost! Will always be a Mansfield legend

It would've been interesting to see how we would've done if he had the same budget Evans and Flitcroft got. The momentum could have carried on that season

I agree. I reckon we would’ve been a mid to low table League One team by now.

Also the amount of injured players didn't help.
