I have been updating all the players released on the first page and first post of this thread.

There may be a few clubs I have missed.

Hamilton fan has suggested it could be Odoffin or McMann Clough is watching at Hamilton. Odoffin a defender/defensive midfielder and McMann a left back. Broomo reckons McMann or Aaron Martin.

If we are signing former 6 foot 3 Exeter City centre halfs who they have released then I'd prefer to sign Tom Parkes (29) who is 2 years younger than Aaron Martin (31)

Seriously, can you imagine our pace at centre half with Parkes and Rawson? Massive no no.

Farrend Rawson is a lot quicker than you are making him out to be Dan. I can't remember the Stags conceding a goal where Rawson has been outpaced.

Where he has been at fault for goals it is mainly for not marking his man closely enough or not getting a block in or being caught out of position or a bad header (whilst being pushed in the back).

McMann is who I mentioned on here the other day. I would also take Odoffin. He was the only one at Ross County when they were behind who kept fighting, flying into tackles, chasing lost causes etc. He also nearly scored against Motherwell too.

Probably also worth mentioning that Hamilton have been relegated from the Scottish Prem

If we’re going to play Macca at left back he could play left wing or left mid. He scored last night from a free kick. Reminds me a lot of Alan Sheehan. He’s under contract until next year but with them going down he might have a release clause as he’s been there since 2012.

I mentioned that too keep up :D

Yes that thought also crossed my mind, not that we normally have to wait long for a meltdown anyway

Well Naylor wouldn't have to worry about him shouting abuse at Field Mill, just the occasional away game in the south east.

Maybe he wants to move closer to home. He's worked with the gaffer before. You never know in 2 season we could be in the championship too. Note: I said COULD ;)

Portsmouth have offered him less wages than he earned this season to resign for them, it's still on the table.
If the 1600 is correct I'm sure we can afford him.
Anyone know where is partners from? Just says up north and anywhere is up north from Pompey.

I used to work with a mate of Naylor, and while he was at Derby he told me he had bought a house in Sutton. Can't see any reason he would have moved house when he transferred to Burton so I would assume that is still the family home.

Cheers, sounds like he wants to be near home with the new baby on the way, Derby would be my bet or Burton if he sees Jimmy as being able to take Burton back up.

Find it strange how some players have their best season when their contracts are coming to an end.

Barrow
Under Contract: Ollie Banks, Tom Beadling, Patrick Brough, Bobby Burns, Jamie Devitt, Luke James, James Jones, Mike Jones, Matt Platt, Scott Quigley, Connor Brown and Dimitri Sea
In Negotiations: Brad Barry, Joel Dixon, Kgosi Ntlhe, Jason Taylor

Released: Calvin Andrew, Courtney Baker-Richardson, Dion Donohue, Callum Gribbin, Sam Hird, Josh Kay, Josh Lillis, Scott Moloney, Mikael Ndjoli, Morgan Penfold, Chris Taylor, Scott Wilson, Yoan Zouma
Retired: Lewis Hardcastle

Former Stags, Calvin Andrew and Dion Donohue are released by Barrow.

I'd be surprised if Josh Kay did not receive any offers as he's a dangerous left sided attacking player who has played left wing back, left midfield, No 10 and as a forward. He made 22(7) league apps and scored 5 goals. Joel Dixon has made 189 league apps in goal for Barrow and he might also attract interest.

Crawley Town
Under Contract: Lewis Young, Tom Dallison, Archie Davies, Tony Craig, Nick Tsaroulla, George Francomb, Reece Grego-Cox, Tyler Frost, Sam Matthews, James Tilley, Jake Hessenthaler, Josh Wright, Ashley Nadesan, Sam Ashford, Davide Rodari
Options Exercised: Jack Powell, Jordan Tunnicliffe, Tom Nichols, Ricardo German, Glenn Morris
In Negotiations: Dannie Bulman

Released: Mark Wright, Tarryn Allarakhia, David Sesay, Stuart Nelson, Josh Doherty, Joe McNerney

I'm surprised about Joe McNerney as he has been a good defender for Crawley with 108(4) apps and 7 goals. David Sesay was mentioned as a hot prospect a few seasons ago.

I see Jake Taylor (29) has announced he is leaving Exeter City after 203(23) league appearances and 27 goals to be nearer his family. He been a very good player for Exeter. He was signed from Reading and is from Berkshire so could be a good signing for the likes of Swindon Town, Crawley or Leyton Orient. Steve Evans is said to be interested (as always). A few Exeter fans also saying Paul Tisdale may be appointed as Forest Green Rovers manager and he wants to sign him.
