Free agents

We are a little thin squad wise.

Does anyone else think we should be looking at the free agent list?

No they are free agents for a reason.

Getting some first team experience into the youth would be better.

Having such a weak bench has cost us 3 points today

While ever we had/have a sniff at the play offs we should've and still should try and strengthen more....
Lack of options on the bench today has done for us....

Once the play offs are not achievable then by all means play the youth and players NC wants to keep...
These are my opinions , if you don't like them I have others...

We were winning with 2 minutes to go. Their forward sat our 1st choice centre back on his arse & smashed a shot past our 1st choice keeper.

No, I think if Maynard had been in nets he'd have saved it. ;)

Or maybe I was replying to PC & quoted the wrong post. :D

Because we didnt have the anything in the armory to kill the game off.

1 sub being a defender for a midfielder says it all. With 20mins to go we didnt have enough depth to raise the bar

We didn’t need it. We went 2-1 up with ten mins to go and conceded in the last minute.

It’s such a general comment to say ‘weak bench cost us’. Yes the squad is thin, but that is not the reason we conceded a last minute equaliser.

We made 1 sub because we had no choice on others. Tired legs on a very difficult pitch was evident to see. Ps I am not taking anything away from the players. Battled hard and played well.

My comments stands, our bench was weak so there was a reluctance to freshen things up.

It's going to cause us all sorts of problems over the next 8 games when we inevitably pick up knocks

I'm sure Nigel or his brother will have a few possible emergency signings lined up. You always need a Plan B.

James Bailey. Signed by Nigel Clough at Derby County.

Joel Lynch, former Forest player.

Jordan Green who scored the winner for Yeovil at Field Mill that helped to cost us promotion in 2018-2019

James Bailey had a great chance to make a very good football league career, was PLENTY good enough to have been a regular in a top 6 league one side but he blew it because of a poor attitude.

He signed from Crewe as part of the deal that took Brayford to Pride Park and for a while he looked a real prospect. I think he thought he'd cracked the big time and it went to his head.

He played so badly in a pre season friendly against Chesterfield that even the ref tackled him. Nige uses those games to measure a players attitude and unfortunately Bailey let himself down badly.

I think he ended up playing in India or some other footballing backwater.

Such a shame and such a waste. I don't see him having his career resurrected by Nigel.

Plus he's a central midfielder who is better defensively than going forward and that's probably the last position we need cover in.
