I thought Jamie Reid held the ball up much better on Saturday and was involved in the build up for two of the goals. He had a good chance to score early on in the 1st half but unfortunately headed wide. It was a shame he was still not on the pitch when we won the second penalty.

If we can't get better than Reid we are in real trouble. He constantly looses the ball, hardly ever wins a header, cant shoot, gets bullied by just about every defender he comes up against
he really is poor,

That would be a quality signing, can’t see burton wanting to let him go though.

No it would. His goal scoring record is poor for a striker!

No it would

He did well at Port Vale last season but has struggled at Scunthorpe this season. Phil Sproson, the former Port Vale player is his agent. I'd rather sign George Lapslie.

he came on for the last 25 minutes against us a week ago and did nothing at all. Other than saying he was on loan from Forest and scored against us last season for Port Vale, I barely recall mentioning his name.

I can’t help but think that the new lockdown must have a big effect on this transfer window.

Will clubs sign players if there is a possibility that they won’t be able to play them if the season is suspended? Will players move on a loan if they think the new club may go under?

It could also go the other way and better players at rocky clubs may want away to secure their future. With so many variables in the mix, I can see this being a totally unique window that will keep fans guessing.

Wouldn't have thought loans would be effected, if the club you have joined, on loan, goes bust you go back to your parent club, permanent transfers are a different matter?

It could matter if you wanted to play or keep yourself in your managers long term plans especially if you are a youngster being loaned lower in the pyramid. It’s one thing going to a club to get game time if they are stable but another risking being unable to play for anyone else until next season if the team go under.

He was due to be going to Cyprus with Big Mick but seems that is now off. He thanks David Sharpe for bringing him to Wigan in his departing statement. Ability wise he is above L2 for sure.

Kai Naismith is a quality player who can play many positions. I'm surprised that he's only 28. I thought he was in his 30s.

Can't see us signing him in January.

Would have been a good signing.

I think we need to give Reid a bit of slack here.

He’s had a massive step up and a move of home in extremely difficult circumstances. I agree there are games where he has looked out of his depth but he put a real shift in against Salford. All he needs now is goals.

Worth bearing in mind that some on here would have bombed Jordan out of the club. I’m more than happy to let NC make the call.

I do agree that this transfer window will be unusual and money or lack of it will play a big part. Remember originally spectators were due back in Oct - it’s now January with no return in sight.

For me today’s focus is about the cup. COYS

Gillingham rumoured to be interested in Lapslie.
