I wonder if Simon still watches us on occasion? Saw him t'other day doing his stuff on the Sky Racing channel. Certainly knows his stuff.
I wonder what his opinion of Albert Boy is? :lol:

The Wagstaff footage illustrates the conditions that football was often played in quite nicely. The pitch looks worse than our game on Saturday and was probably like that prior to kick off. Add the fact that the ball was no doubt soaking and heavy as well and you can easily see why it kept rolling compared to the modern equivalent.

They were proper leg sapping conditions.
