Passing drills too. No use practicing just finishing if you aren't doing drills improving the passing, movement and team shape.
We played Saturday and played well so they'd get Sunday off, today would be a light session so probably working on set pieces (we've not done great at them recently) and/or a passing drill (basically no/light contact drills) then they will be in tomorrow to go through what to expect from Salford (which could also be linked to what we did in training today).
For strikers they do practice finishing it's just secondary to the main aim. You do attacking training, chance creation etc then the striker has to finish it but there could be 2/3/4 passes before the finish whereas finishing training is it just the pass to the striker to finish in a predetermined spot. Not much use to the team if every player practicises it for an hour or 2.during the main training sessions.
