Given that Mansfield v Colchester kicks off before the Coventry game, our game should be the first.

Hmm i cannot work out if this is good or bad.

I enjoyed the extra sub-rule if going into extra time, but not so sure about it within 90mins. Part of good management is knowing when to make those subs etc.

Extra time-wasting and break up in play will be rife

The positive thing is, Dan Worthington might get a game in Sunday league now

In the early EPL games where five subs were used, teams could only do it in 3 occurrences, so to stop time wasting.
Those accustomed to privilege may feel that equality is oppression.

Shucks minimal 10 minutes extra time could be the norm, seems a strange decision, but we can only assume a lot of thought has gone into this decision

It's been introduced because the special circumstances of this foreshortened season are putting players at greater risk of injury, especially those playing for clubs involved in multiple cup competitions. So you can see the logic. The downside is that it gives an extra advantage to the richer clubs with the biggest squads. And the problem is that once you've introduced a change like this, it becomes impossible to take it away again when life returns to normal.

They’re playing games twice a week. Clubs are seeing more injuries. I can’t see why anyone would moan about this

I think that we were. But this time it looks like we won't be recognised as being the first.

Not only the first to use it, but also the first hat trick as Lee Peacock scored 3 in a 5-0 thrashing of Barnet.

Great, might help our plight in the last 15 mins of a game?

Its good in principle but does give a big advantage to teams with a strong bench/squad. Should see more kids given game time though hopefully.

Shocking that SSN aren't crediting us with the 'first'. Just have to make sure the wiki about it is accurate :)

That game with the yellow ball was a great night.

So are they doing it as in the trial? 5 subs but only 3 lots of separate substitutions allowed, so there isn't more time wasting or can they make 5 separate substitutions? That seems too many to me.
