From what the spireite journo has said, those currently running the club might not have the funds the see the season out without more help and currently are a mile off finding it.

The squad that was on course to go down last season has hardly changed also...

A gooseberry up with kit supplies/stock has also meant they hardly made a penny from shirt sales.

There are some great threads on their board about how bad things are for them. Makes for happy reading. I'm looking forward to them playing at regional level.

Maybe they should consider going part-time themselves?.
Seem as they owe them millions already maybe give the players jobs at Derbyshire Council

On a serious note thou... How the hell are they surviving as a pro club at the minute?!
Oh how they could do with one of those brown envelopes once again :D
Karma's a bitch boys.... What goes around comes around!.

Just had another thought... What ever happened to chumpta & search and destroy who used to post on here fairly often?!

Have we stopped laughing at them now ? Come on County get them entrenched below that dotted line.

The match thread is gold. At 2-2 they're predicting losing it in the last minute and then....
0 points from Wealdstone, Maidenhead and Altrincham. They're going down. Again.

With only a 25% win ratio and averaging less than a point a game they are doomed for relegation, they could be saved as Macclesfield will occupy 24th place so only need three other teams to have equally bad seasons for them to scrape into 20th position (or one or more teams have points deducted/go into admin/liquidation as the options of being saved from relegation in tier 5 seem to be better than the EFL)

Kinda seems everything chesterfield do is what we did just a bit worse.

Remember us losing to altrincham 1-0 the first season down there - they scored after about 10 seconds and I missed the goal.

Didn’t we also lose to Alty at home? 1-0 as well - they had that damien reeves we always seemed to be after.

Our 3rd season down there ended in the fa trophy final and a mid-table finish - hard to see them achieving either of those

You have probably referenced the Stags earliest and latest goals conceded in a competitive match??

11 seconds v Altrincham and 120 minutes v Darlington (at Wembley)
Chris Senior scored both of them.

I wonder if there is another club to have the same player score against them in minutes 1 and 120 and also be the earliest and latest goal scorer against that club? Doubtful?

I'm all for supporters of having ambition in their team and wanting better but the spire supporters (and County) believe that they have a deserved right to be in the top tiers of English football.

They have half decent grounds with sub decent players but fail to see or be humble enough to accept they are where they are for a reason
