You're like a young trainee plucked from t'youth team Paul, smashing goals in left, right and centre. Hope like Liam you are the real deal and keep a winning run going and don't find beer n girls and get distracted...or it's gonna be tough.

Another win would be astonishing... at home, hopefully score an early goal and try and get the second.

Colchester are a decent side so we need to be on it. Draw would be ok tbh

I want to see something that I haven't intwo years. A home performance where there's only one side in it and thr result isn't in doubt from the start.

Being realistic these have been a very testing two weeks and fatigue could be a problem. Four wins on the bounce is a big ask but we need to make progress in the league and open up a gap from the bottom.

I think the momentum will just carry us through this one 3-2.

Big statement if we can beat these. Will give us an idea of how good we are. Hopefully now we have the first win we dont feel the need to sit back at 2-0 up.

I'm not sure why people are saying this would be a massive result. It's Colchester United not Barcelona! They're 7th, we've just won away at a team in 5th. These are there for the taking and with the form we're in we've got nothing to fear.

They haven't won an away game this season yet either.

Saying that, we haven't won a home game yet

Colchester won 4 out of the last 5 . so certainly a in form team, Mansfield still reeling from a poor start, and confidence is fragile, a win needed to move us a couple of places up the table.
Lets hope we dont batter them and lose 1-0, we have home advantage, but no crowd to encourage our players. The players have something to prove and have given us 100%
so good luck lads give us a win, we have nothing to fear

Was going to come on all guns blazing and say we'd smash them off the park, then I watched their extended highlights.

It'll be a test that's for sure, they play some really tidy stuff, both fullbacks overlap and put in good quality crosses and they've got a midfield capable if running with the ball.

They've got a lad, Jevan Brown (number 10) who is listed as a midfielder who looks to be playing up front and he's got 11 goals in all competitions. He plays off the shoulder of the central defenders makes some great runs and his finishing has been very cool indeed, whichever of our two is up against him will need cover. He does tend to get a lot of chances.

Kwame Puko (23) seems to be their main man in midfield, strong running, neat and tidy and good at driving the ball forward and the left back Colin Brammal (3) puts a great cross in if he gets time and space.

I still think we have enough in our locker to beat them and expect us to come out flying, so it's as much as whether they can handle us.

I think we'll need to score a couple as they create a lot of chances and I don't see us keeping a clean sheet.

Looking forward to hearing Nige's press conference tomorrow and hearing we've had a good couple of sessions and the players have rested as well.

See no reason for major changes, so apart from Clarke for Maris, I'd expect the same starting 11.

Beat Colchester and the confidence will get another massive boost.

Quite fancy a 3-1 win ;-)

I'll give you that one. But a bet you had to look hard to find one. I seem to remember Bradford being awful that day. You get my sentiment though. Let's do it to a half decent side like Colchester. Im not expecting 4 or 5. One up at half time, keep going forward and get the second then have control of the game not hanging on for grim death in the last ten minutes.

broomo, we've played against Jevani Brown multiple times over the past three years playing for Cambridge, Colchester and Forest Green. I think he's a good player and he's obviously having a purple patch this season. I'm sure Nigel Clough will have a plan in place to handle him. Kwame Poku also played well against us last season, including winning a penalty.

Thanks Martin, I've not watched much League Two football as unless its the level NC is managing at, I'm not too interested.

I did notice Brown has never had a spell like this before but was still genuinely surprised by his composure.

Stop him from scoring and I fancy our chances.
