Madness. They've been announced as bidders to take over the club.

Some Americans have a very good understanding of football. Even to the point where they get offended by fellow countrymen calling it 'Soccer'. :D

Didn't SKY Sports used to have a Saturday morning programme called "Soccer AM" ? In that case then the English are just as bad!!

Not forgetting Rob McElhenney, the mastermind of one of the funniest comedies of our generation. Such a random turn up for the books as Rob is very much into baseball and American football, but awesome all the same, I'm proper jealous.

I know, bonkers right.

But then SKY sports took a perfeclty good game like Rugby League and Americanised to raspberries out of it, rebranding all the clubs & ruining the game 8n the process.

I read their proposal to the Trust and it does look as though they are taking it seriously and not promising the earth other than beating Chester. They (or their representatives) have clearly done their research and homework to a deep level even referencing the work of the club's equality officer.
It isn't clear why they have chosen Wrexham other than it being one of the oldest clubs but current evidence appears that they are taking it seriously and not over investing expecting the earth.

I do hope that they aren't playing games because it looks legit and serious at the moment

We were relegated the same season as them .
There was many a poisonous thread on their forum at the time , the year we were promoted along the lines of us buying the league which would end in our demise and they were prepared to do it the right sustainable way .
Whilst we haven't set the world alight on the pitch since , they have had another 7 seasons in the sheep pit and have looked further away from promotion each year under " plan sustainability"
Looks like they are growing tired of having to play Chesterfield and are now putting all their welsh eggs in a Hollywood actors basket .
Can't help feeling Ryan Reynolds will grow tired of nights out in Wrexham and will probably leave them more in the cart than they already are .

Reynolds seems pretty busines savvy with quite a few very successful business (drinks, telecoms and marketing)

They’ll invest in making the club better, but I don’t think they’ll go down the route of Salford. Just because they’re mega wealthy, doesn’t mean they’ll throw money at it.

They’ll raise Wrexham’s profile massively, and will have the right people in place.

They might not actually need to put any money in funnily enough. Once it gets out around the world that they’ve bought Wrexham you’ll have film buffs and fans of theirs buying Wrexham shirts, memorabilia & then you’ll have sponsors queuing up etc so if it really takes off they’ll be raking it in from that.

Fanciful they will make money out of it.

Either they make money out of it and the fans want them rid, or they invest and don’t make money and the fans love them.
