Re: Second Round Draw - Mansfield v Dagenham

I thought I saw this list somewhere, included Oxford city, Doncaster but no stags on it.
I might be wrong.

Should put a bit of extra money in the kitty, but doesn’t do us any favours ahead of our game away Cambridge on the Tuesday night following. They have a free weekend.

Martin. Does this mean that it will no longer be available to purchase on ifollow?

It was announced by the club that they intended to broadcast it live but will they still be able to do so?

As per the official site :

Mansfield Town’s Emirates FA Cup second round tie at home to Dagenham Redbridge will now be played on Sunday 29 November (1.30pm).

The fixture has been moved after being selected for live single-camera broadcast on BBC digital platforms. The match will be shown live and in full across BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport Website and App.

Consequently, the tie will not be available for live viewing on iFollow Stags – the club’s online digital channel. iFollow Stags will, however, provide full match audio commentary on the fixture. Further details will be announced in due course.

another clarification. I've seen people saying elsewhere it will be on the BBC red button. It won't be. It's on the BBC iPlayer, BBC website and BBC Sport app.

it will be either BBC Radio Nottingham or BBC Radio London, but not both. In round one, it looked like arbitrary choices to me.

Surely it would be efficient and cost effective if the BBC commissioned you and Dean to do the commentary for BBC iPlayer like they did when we were in the conference.

BBC Radio London and BBC Radio Nottingham will be there, as they would have been anyway. So they will use one of the two. I just checked with Jake - he doesn't know which it will be yet. I hope he gets the gig.

update to this - BBC have drafted in a commentator for the stream, so it will be a TV-style commentary rather than a local radio commentary on the stream.

During the last round I watched the show and they were showing highlights of every game as well as all the goals and major decisions as they happened. So surely they’ll do that again. It was on BBC2.

that's right. They've done that for Rd 1 and Rd 2 for several years on a Sunday lunchtime. The difference this year is that they are showing lots of games live on the iPlayer as the games are behind closed doors.

Yes. Notts County were playing Daggers on the following Tuesday night down there and it’s been moved to the Wednesday night so we need to do the same.

So end of the road for Paulstag sadly as the players produced another master class of woeful ineptitude. A free hit for Young Nigel now in t'Cup and another chance for the fringe players to stake a claim.
I'm not hopeful though and fear we're ripe for a'shock', to be compouded when the 3rd Rnd draw's made and t'Daggers draw some plum tie like Manure at thier gaff
But then again I could be wrong. Up to the players to prove me so.
