From memory George Lapslie (23) played well against us in the home FA Cup game against Charlton. Albie Morgan (20) is another good young midfield player at Charlton. He played well against Donny Rovers in the play offs in 2018-2019.

I don't understand why we need him though as we have Harry Charsley who can play in an attacking role unless Ollie Clarke is going to be out for a while. Harry Charsley already has two assists this season. We need someone who can play in holding midfield who can play balls and make runs through midfield and start attacks. In fact George's brother, Tom Lapslie, might have been a better fit

Is GC going to play James Perch or George Maris in the holding role with Harry Charsley and Tom Lapslie further forward?

He seems to be a replacement for Tomlinson in a player that will offer legs and be box to box.

Against Stevenage we played an inverted triangle in midfield with Perch sitting deep and allowing Maris and Charsley to push on. Our options with Clarke out left us short, hence the need for another midfielder going into a heavy fixture list.

I think we really need an experienced centre half and have done fore a while. The back 3 are all
good young players, but too niaive when it comes to seeing games out. Another attacking player would be good too to allow more flexibility in formations.

Just from watching those few highlights this afternoon, he was living every kick of the ball, hands on head when players missed chances, celebrating every goal the same way.

No it's not.
It is, often used by teams on a poor run who then come out of it, teams who have had bad luck and the bloke who sits at the end of the bar who should have been the next Bobby Moore

We've had no bad luck just poor defending and tactics.

Looks like the tactics could change with McGuire in charge for a while

McGuire would be an interesting call, a man with even less managerial experience than Dempster.

"In charge for a while" I said.

Probably only Saturday whilst the new man casts an eye?

My mate who's a Charlton fan says he's quality. Apparently always gives 110 and has a great attitude. He thinks hell relish the chance of coming here on loan and score us a few goals too.

Manager Graham Coughlan said: "George has Championship experience and he's a bundle of energy, with quality on the ball.

"He will add competition for places in the middle of the park and I'm looking forward to working with him."

Lapslie said: "The gaffer [Graham Coughlan] wants me to play in a higher midfield role, and he's expecting assists and goals."

Great signing well done DS & GC. I honestly think we wouldn’t have got this lad without Sharpe.
