You also get other players who are coming back from an injury, players who aren’t fit enough for the first team and also players who are either a new signing or simply out of favour. I remember doing a Forest U23 game and it was like a first team game as half the team were the ones who were out of favour. Players like Daryl Murphy, Zach Clough, Jamie Ward, Jordan Smith & Joe Worrall played and they were first team players under a previous manager.
