Us losing 4-0 at a Chmpnshp side... Tranny losing 3-0 to a Prem side, and didn't they draw with Preston earlier. That gives tranny the edge imo

They did, but were gifted their goal against Preston, and also lost to two non league sides without scoring a goal.

Did the same teams play in both games?

No, 5 changes to starting line up. Plus 12 changes on the hour. Tranmere scored in last minute after intercepting a back pass, their only goal of pre-season, with games against Warrington Town and TNS.

Mike Jackson, the Tranmere manager was at Deepdale on Saturday. He must have been licking his lips. Otis could bag a brace against us before not scoring again for 18 months.
