#GoalOfTheDay
Dudley Roberts scores with a header at Cambridge in April 1973. The Stags lost what was a crucial game 3-2. It is the only footage that we have of Dudley Roberts scoring.

Well the North Stand looks absolutely full of Kiddy fans for Jake's goal. Makes you realise how few fans actually travel in non league even for a reasonably big team like Kidderminster

144 Kiddy fans for the last game of the season with nothing to play for.

C

Maybe they had all gone home by then or up at the top of the stand. Last games often get bigger crowds in fancy dress though so who knows.

I remember that one very well.

A group of us got together to sponsor the game and the pre-game meal was in The Early Doors. We presented Andy White with the man of the match bottle in a minute room under the Quarry Lane Stand which we couldn't all get into. A proper Haslam penny pinching job all around.

Wikipedia says White scored 70 for the Stags in 68 appearances, is that really true?! If so pretty impressive record!

 Certainly not. I can keep this going for another 6 months if the season doesn't start.

At least it should provide a sharp reminder to any who question the radfords. Celebrating a 1-0 win over sodding Salisbury city! How far we’d fallen :(
