Have come across this on twitter. This would be something I could get behind. On the up, youngish.

Like the sound of this! Has a very good goal scoring record at Torquay - 56 goals in 97 appearances, including 18 goals in 32 appearances in the national league this season, and he’s only 25.

Welcome to MTFC Jamie.

I should reiterate that the signing is not confirmed, it’s just taken from a non league Instagram page. Could be complete rubbish.

Torquay have confirmed he has turned down a new contract to join a league club.

They don't think the deal is complete as no one is giving contracts out yet. We know that's incorrect as we signed Bowery today so there could be a lot of truth in this. His Torquay contract expires on the 30th of June.

ummm Gulls fans seemed to think the Gas had tapped him up to sign in January but wanted to hold off until end of season to not pay a fee, would appear this story could have legs

This would be good.

We should always look to sign some of the best NL players. It'll be a bit hit and miss, hope he's signed. Could be prolific.

Id think there's 1 more striker to sign if Maynard leaves.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Looks decent there to be fair. Anyone know anything more about him, know a few on here follow the national League.

Seems to know where the net is........ not scared to have a shot from distance either. I like what I see there. Confident finisher without a doubt.

He looks class on that video. Definitely brilliant with both feet, he takes his penalties with his right foot so imagine that is his stronger one but also scored some cracking goals outside the area with his left. Looks strong and quick. Hope we get him.

Appears to be the kind of player Sharpe was talking about. Young, talented and hungry and someone we could get a year or two from before selling on do a good price.

Interesting to see a comment earlier about him being "only 25" though. We have written a few off in the past who are much younger

Scored most his goals at National League South level... But these are the sort of players we miss out on.

Sign him up!

Could be the next Ollie Palmer, Ricky Miller or OSJ!

Obviously I'm being a bit tongue in cheek, but I think some of our fans will need to accept it could go either way and not get on his back if it's a step too far.

Personally I would prefer us to take players released from higher lever academies and try and mine a few diamonds that way. I think Tomlinson and Charsley could still be successful examples of this.

If Reid signed and had 2 good seasons, his resale value would be limited by his age

you don't gamble then you can't win. Peterborough have a great record of picking up non league players and pushing them on into the championship/prem and getting good sales too. Obviously Reid is a bit older than the players posh go for, but if he was on a smaller wage it could be a good signing.

Rose, Doyle, Reid and Bowery wouldn't be a bad line up of strikers (that is if Maynard and cook leave, they may not)

Apparently, most clubs are not signing players until August 1st, think Bowery is the same, could have signed a pre contract?
