James Perch

Been released today from Scunny. He’s 34 but I reckon he’s worth a go. You can’t buy experience like his & he’s a Mansfield lad so let’s bring him home.

Not seen him play enough in a while to comment on whether he’s up to standard.

I’ve got a feeling a lot of clubs will leave it late this year as we learn more about the economic situation, particularly if the league agrees wage caps. If we’re still expecting a 50% income drop next season I expect to see a youthful look to many first teams next season or many players signing on cheaper 1 year deals hoping markets return the year after.

We shouldn't go down that line.

It'll end in heart hake.

Could be a good signing. From an entertaining point of view we would have a whale of a time watching him.
