Are we still worrying about Stevenage?
every bloody week youth yes
They're 16 points behind us with 12 games to go, and with them still to play. They are not going to catch us.
10 games.

Likes a bit of steak does Bob. He's not performed well enough to keep the gloves since GC put him in. Here's hoping Seamus can return him to form.

At this rate I could end up holding on to the Scorethread as long as the 1939 Pompey squad held on to the FA Cup.

Would be nice if there was a way in which the food could be sent to those that need it after the game is off)

Well done to Sneag. Finished the planned season off as unbeaten Scorethread King.
As hollow victories go, that has to be up there with the best of them.

But will Spiro now buy him his reward?
No thought not.
And here's another thought. How long into next season will his unbeaten run go?

But is a hollow victory better than a glorious defeat?
What would Crassus think?

Well, hopefully as Crassus was dubbed the ‘richest man in Rome’ hopefully we would have debated it long and hard in the taverna over flagons of wine with the finest girls the empire could offer.
‘Hollow victory every time for the good of Rome’ he would say, though ‘Glorious Defeat for a lifetime of immortality’.
As his great rival was Pompey, with whom he had a to share the senate with no doubt the decision on how to end the season would be based upon how not to favour Portsmouth.
Does any of this help?

Would the titles of all football leagues, if awarded now, be classed as 'Hollow Victories' ?
