Black Mary.
Lavern.
Loui Shields.
So many great characters in a wonderful time in Mansfield.
Born and bred and it's why I support our beloved club.
Living away I always get asked when watching sky/bt football on tv, who do you support?
MANSFIELD
Why because I was born there.

Great shop. Handbags etc on the ground floor. Downstairs to the Sports department.
Was run by the brother of ex Stags player, Adrian Burrows.

great shop.
Horace Burrows opened the shop after the war and ran it until he died in the late 60's.
He is one of the few players to play for England after having played for Mansfield
https://stagsnet.net/vintage/reports/st ... ionals.htmHis son Adrian played for the Stags.
As Edders notes, Adrian's brothers ran the shop until it closed.

Subsumed into the Hell's Angels England chapter along with several other HA Chapters. The aim was to (I think) to create the biggest HA Chapter in the world.

When there was a bus stop at the top of Regent Street used by taxis, I watched Lavern put a cheeky young scrot through one of the windows.

There are still a couple of Chapter Houses in the area, one in Mansfield & one in Huthwaite.

Saw them at The Bodega in Nottingham about six or years ago as they were playing an anniversary gig. The played Nowhere Girl, 12 " version. That intro gets me every time.

T'is a great intro, beginning with that deranged laughter of some Itaian chick.

The Notts outlaws and I might be wrong thinking of Mansfield mofos.
Some lived on sherwood street/York street.
I knocked on their door once to take a dog back that was walking the streets, was surprised they opened the door.
Not very nice people in a group but some individuals ok.
Don't think I've ever seen one hells Angel at a Stags match but a lot in the 70's with denim and leather over the top with no sleeves.
