Whiffy, these spunkless wonders have proved enough times they've about as much backbone as Benito's boys this season. They continually turn up at Fortress Field Mill to man the ramparts and at the 1st sign of trouble open the gates to let the enemy in to ransack the place and leave with precious points.
Oh wait, they've had another week running about learning how to press the ball. T'is a pity they don't know what to do with when theyve got it

Ouch.. Harsh but fair... Add into the mix appalling weather and most of these overpaid show ponies will only be thinking about getting straight back into their overpriced motors to get the heated leather seats on and home to their gucci lined slippers.

0-1
Poor game in dreadful conditions. We’ll concede late on from another long throw/corner dropping in the 6 yard box amongst a static defence and keeper and Matt will bundle it in. We will never look like scoring other than from speculative 40 yard free kicks from wide areas hoping for a lucky break.
Restless crowd, and a packed Sandy Pate in the second half.
Hope I’m proved very wrong!

It would appear Newport have an injury crisis, goalkeeper, no right backs and no left backs all injured, Otis can't play, neither can O' Brien the defender, well who knows.... COYS

From there match preview.
Michael Flynn will be without full-backs Ashley Baker, Daniel Leadbitter, Ryan Haynes and George Nurse.
Elsewhere, County will also be without Mark O’Brien, Josh Sheehan, Matty Dolan and Nick Townsend. New signing Otis Khan will also be unavailable against his parent club

Yes Magic.

an easy 2-2 - no stress - no tension - it seems like a long time since we drew 2-2 at theirs

Hey, we couldn't muster a meaningful effort in 81 mins against 10 man Grimsby at t'Mill recently so I doubt Flynn'll be worried

Newport tend to have a bagful of eight foot players so plan A of hoofing it to Danny is out of the question. Also they are the best team in winning corners, free kicks and throw ins in their opponents half so another arial bombardment. If the Mill is soggy then it will be like playing at home for them.
So 4 - 0 to us then. Onwards and upwards.

Predictions for today:
The weather - no differing to what we have played under this time of year since footballs were invented. However much whining by some and much putting on of an extra layers by others.
Line Up - hardly changes due to the dearth of variety in the squad. However much whining by some as to who should have played and brought on at whatever time and much shrugging of shoulders by others.
Crowd - Cold, wet and in need of something to cheer. But weather permitting it may or may not happen. However much booing, snarling and obscenities directed at individuals by some and much walking home in disbelief at a late winner or equaliser by either side by others. Either way the usual suspects on here will insult the other usual suspects on here for having a differing opinion.
Game - won’t be pretty as neither side is renowned for swift, clinical passing football. Then again we are a division 4 side (in old money) and should we expect anything like that. Lots of long balls swirling in the air, poor first touches and losses of possession for both. Two nil to the Stags, the first Maynard runs from the halfway line and scores a worldly the second is a goal mouth scramble that Bishop pokes home. Some go home cheering and elated that we have got three more survival points and some go home muttering that they cannot single someone out for the kind of abuse they would never ever give to someone’s face.
All in all as usual Saturday at the Mill.
Oh and, should we win, I propose Forest Town Stag is banned for life from Score threading.

3.1 to the stags. Red card for Newport. An own goal . And a few bloopers from both goalies. Not bothered how we get the points but a win might just see us have league two footy next season..
