I get the Non League paper every week as I like to see what our ex players are doing.I noticed that Jack has been player of the match in his last two games.I always thought he would make the grade. He was doing well until he lost his way.Is it too late for him to make it?Pretty sure he is better than Tomlinson or Bishop.

It's good to see he is playing well, but you have to consider that he is playing three divisions below league football. Sadly I think the National league north/south is his level.

I understand what you are saying but Jack has played at a higher level and looked good.Sometimes you have to give a chance to lower league players. If he was given a trial then there is nothing to lose.

Don't think he's good enough to push for promotion to league one, which is what were after. Maybe not this season but I don't think he's good enough. There's a reason he was released

Doesn't Jack have some sort of coaching role at the club? Sure I saw that somewhere. My point being that what Jack can do now in a playing sense, will already be known within the club and as such it is deemed not good enough.

Went to watch Basford last weekend at home to FC United, 2nd vs 4th in front of 900 (id estimate at least 600 were away fans).

Jack was one of the best players on the pitch, especially 2nd half and you could clearly see he’d played at a higher level.

Cost me £2 entry and can safely say it’s better than anything we’ve been served this season. For anyone who hasn’t been, it’s worth a visit as it’s great set up.

£2??

Typically step 3 games are about £10, step 4 about £8. Basford are at step 3

Sorry, I have a student card.

Admission was £9 for adults, £6 for concessions, £2 for u16 and students.

2 adults and 2 kids could get it on a family ticket for £15

Thought Bradford was a bloody great game mesen, one of the very few bits of flotsam to cling to as we flounder in an ocean of mediocrity.

Been to Basford a few times now but they'd have to think seriously about stepping up the ground spec if they went up to Conf North.

Yeah we said the same, the good thing for Basford is it could easily be done as there’s loads of room to extend etc.

The National League North isn’t far away at all for them.

First off, good on Jack. For one reason or another his playing time here didn’t quite work out and he moved on to get it going again, this can be difficult and I’m glad to see he’s delivering some performances. This and the coaching job here he seems to be calving out a career in football, I’m not sure if he will return to this level in a playing capacity or whether he’s interested but I’m sure with the link we have we’re in a good place to assess.

Jack would be a better option than both Tomlinson and Bishop.

He put in the performances last time round that helped keep us up, looks like we could do with it again at the moment.
