Football's Best/Worst Owners

Postby victor A block » Thu Feb 06, 2020 2:24 pm

This survey came out last week. ( its not a big sample though) A few interesting names. The Radford's don't make the top 10 of the best owners , but this could be the Dempster effect/season in general.

A familiar name from across the M1, takes first prize in the "worst owner category"

Can’t see why Chesterfield are on the list tbh, aren’t they a non league outfit?

There are far worse owners than Dave Allen.

He's been propping up the club for years.

He puts money in, rather than take money out.

Bad owner formula:
Dave Allen squared = Keith Haslam
First match : 04.01.1975 home v Cambridge Utd F.A.Cup 3rd Round 1-0 Clarke

I think it was their new ground ( as nice as it was ), has a lot to do with their financial problems.

Darlington had a similar problem with their new ground, which was a reason for their demise.

I notice the website falls short of any commentary about Newcastle United and Manchester United. Scared of any lawsuits for slander. Notts County might have pipped Spirerites to the top spot this time last year after Todger-gate

Waste of time this survey, considering one club fanbase that's annoyed (Ie Chesterfield) have a few hundred actually doing the survey, where as they somehow manage to find 2 salford fans to do it.
