And you think that makes any difference? It’s all about player power. He’s got dogs abuse from the stands and a club with fans who love him in a higher league come in for him. Not rocket science is it.

No chance of that happening being linked with a Championship move.

If we have singled players, do you really think that not announcing it till tomorrow will hinder Carlisle ?

I think we’ve got every right to be concerned at the moment.

We can offer him £5-6,000 a week with Cook, Khan & Mellis wages, money talks.

Andy Cook just isn’t the type of player for GC, he’s not capable of a high intensity press.

It’s Tranmere not Sunderland! He’s played in league 1 before and I’m sure he could have stayed there in the summer after scoring a lot of goals for poor Walsall side but instead chose to drop a league and come to us. I don’t think the fact he’s now playing in League 1 will be that big a factor for him. He won’t want to be playing second fiddle, particularly when he keeps scoring off the bench.

There is concerned and then there is the prediction of doom, relegation and criticism of the Radfords.

I don't know why GC announces signings late but it appears to be his style

Natural goalscorer gone, that's madness. Surely already got someone lined up, likely to be announced tomorrow about 1.55pm

Read his comments. Clearly moving back to Tranmere was big factor for him.

I'd have kept Andy Cook because his goals could keep us up but I'd have driven Otis Khan to Newport myself. A massive waste of money by DF along with Craig Davies. These two players must have cost the club around £1 million taking into account transfer fees, signing on fees and wages.

GC is certainly clearing the decks. Fingers crossed he has a cunning plan.

Don't forget we've still got Omari Sterling-James!! He's still hanging in there. I think.

TBF he's been as productive as Khan over the last 2 seasons.

What should we do with him random? Let him rot in the reserves with a big wage because he's unhappy we rejected the transfer offer?

Its not about these players being allowed to leave Bobby, it's about not replacing them adequately. We have let go Logan, Mellis, Cook and Khan. Apart from Piper ( who is experienced but let go by his former club due to injury concerns), we have replaced them with young inexperienced players.

Some say we can sign players who have been released from their contracts. That's not worked well in the past, has it ? AM signed an experienced striker ( who was that good his name escapes me now), who had played at the higher level with a number of clubs including Nottingham Forest. He had very little impact.

Others say we will be alright because we have an eight point cushion, that other teams are worse than us, and anyway only one team goes down. So we will be alright. Well an eight point fusion can easily be eroded. I hope they are correct and my concerns turn out to be groundless.

We all know this is a cost cutting exercise, probably to save money for next season. It is also a gamble.
