Warnock with backing £££ would get us promoted without a doubt but wouldn’t drop to league 2 would he ?

We might have missed our chance with Nathan Jones because he could soon be going back to the mighty Luton after they were thrashed 7-0 yesterday by Brentford.

On the other hand, Phil Parkinson and Steve Parkin might be available again shortly.

Jones would not come here, as I’ve said many times.

I would have hoped Sam that JR and Carolyn had at least put some feelers out to him or his agent to see whether he would be interested and to find out what kind of deal he would want. If he was not interested or wants too much money then you can rule him out and move on to the next target. We should be doing the same to Paul Tisdale.

If we are going to advertise the position then JD needs to be dismissed this week to allow enough time for interviews to be set up and get a new man in post before the opening of the transfer window. We would need to have a new manager by Crewe away on 14th December which would give him four games to assess the players in December.

There is always the possibility that someone like Mike Whitlow/Neal Bishop takes over and wins a few games and then JR does a Duncan Russell and keeps them in post to the end of the season or waits for another good candidate to become available.

I'd try for Micky Mellon at Tranmere, currently a victim of his success in getting an average Tranmere side promoted which wasn't ready for league 1. Worth asking the question as Tranmere may be happy to not have to pay him off if pressure continues to build

Gills through to the third round. A big draw for them could scupper and plans our owners might have had.

He is. He'll be courted by a Lge1/2 club soon enough. Unless it was a real step, if I were him I'd want to lead Barrow back up though and achieve something that I'd built myself.

It's one thing getting rid of the manager.

The other is bringing in someone who can get us promoted.

Since Paul Cox (who did get us promoted), JR and the board have made four managerial appointments, none of which have fulfilled the brief.

DF came very close and should have been retained. I'm not confident the board will appoint anyone who will better what DF achieved

A friend of mine is a Barrow fan.

Earlier on in the season, Barrow almost slipped into the bottom four. At that time my friend said Evatt was facing the sack.

It's gonna be bedlam on here if the new manager isn't one of Nathan Jones, Paul Tisdale or Darrell Clarke. If we do sack Dempster, I really don't think we'll get any of those.
