Cup score Fred sponsored by Taming Of The Shrews

Postby Sandy Pate Best Stag » Thu Nov 28, 2019 1:19 pm

With apologies to William Shakespeare

As it looked like no-one else was bothered enough to take it on, I thought I may as well fall on my sword.

2-0 to the mighty stags so that Spartacus can afford a Chrimbo pressie for his (relatively) new lady wife.

Think I've got it right this edit but predictive text may yet jump in again.

2-0 Shrewsbury.

Even money with the bookies which will be added to my weekly Acca, hopefully we’re the ones to let me down and we venture into round 3!

Looking forward to knocking Shrewsbury and Port Vale out of the Cups before losing 3-1 at home to Cheltenham and 4-0 away at Crewe.

Good luck to JD. Hopefully the players will start to deliver for him including the forwards sticking the ball in the net.

Can't mean us, we'd never play in such disgusting combination.

Anyway, t'fred is probably glad of a lie in after FTS got it out of bed too early couple of weeks ago. Be nice to cause a cupset, but it's gonna be tough.

The Fred is well rested and ready to see us into the third round. Maybe.

When was the last time we beat a team from a higher league in the FA Cup?

Not got much confidence for this one. Would take a replay and at least be in the hat on Monday.

Well a bit of a saying really, isn’t it?

Still, when your heart hopes you win and you’re going and hoping for a day out but your head says you’ve about as much chance of finding maddie McCann it’s certainly a conflict

Jan 2008, Brighton

We were there behind the goal with the running track in between us. We were sat just in front of Steven Dawson's family who had come to watch him play. They were great fun. Travelled back to the city centre on a bus packed with Brighton fans who were very complimentary about the way we played and said we deserved the win

We had some decent away results, but sadly the ultra toxic atmos at t'Mill cost us our league status

Yes. It's not that we had a poor side. It was the atmosphere at Field Mill that took us down. Absolutely.
