92.2.5 order the payment of compensation to The League, any Club, any other club, Player or other person;

report of tonight's game

The report does not clarify, but from the team sheet, that was indeed Macc's first team.

saw this on facebook :

Thanks for adding me guys, I just thought I’d give you the heads up about our game on Saturday.
As you might be aware we’re going through some troubles with our owner and are struggling at the moment. Although our attendance is usually low anyway :-) the majority of our fans are boycotting against the current owners, so won’t be at the game.
We’re also having a protest before the game against our current owner, ‘“Amar Alkadhi” outside the ground, so that’s why you might see a bit or disruption outside the ground

If we manage to get a chant going, highly unlikely at the Moss Rose :-) it’ll be along the lines of “We want Amar Out” and that and we’d love it if some of you guys joined in to help get our message across, we had the whole Away end singing it on Sunday

If you’re not up for it no worries, thought I’d just give you the heads up

Macclesfield players and staff have now apparently contacted the police regarding pension contributions which have been deducted from their salaries but which have not been paid.

Joe Sealey, son of Les Sealey, is trying to buy the club.

Just beggars belief that deductions can be made from salaries and not paid on by the club to the due destination. Where is the Accountant and Finance person....?? That is both fraud and an unlawful deduction from wages if not paid on. What has the club done as regards NI and Tax due to HMRC too. Absolutely criminal.

Thanks as always TTF. ...brilliant coverage

Macclesfield Town: League Two club charged with misconduct for late wages

Macclesfield Town have been charged with misconduct by the English Football League and referred to a disciplinary panel after failing to pay their players on time.
Players at the League Two club went on strike last week over unpaid salaries.
They went on to field youth and loan players in their 4-0 FA Cup loss to seventh-tier Kingstonian on Sunday.
The EFL gave the club until 16:00 GMT on Wednesday to provide information after investigating the situation.
A statement issued by the EFL said it had been in discussions with the club and Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) to find a solution and recognised the "impact the non-payment of wages has on the health and wellbeing of those involved".
It continued: "As a result of the information provided, the EFL has notified the club of multiple charges related to failing to adhere to the terms of the contracts that are in operation.
"As a result of the club fulfilling its obligations in respect of playing last night's Leasing.com Trophy fixture, the EFL has released an immediate payment of £30,000 secured through participation in this season's competition to assist in the payment of wages to players and staff."
Although Macclesfield reportedly began the process of paying players and staff before the EFL's deadline on Wednesday, BBC Sport understands that only three players ultimately received their wages.

The playing staff remain undecided whether to make themselves available for Saturday's League One fixture against Mansfield Town.

Earlier this week, they were advised not to play or train because they were not insured, but BBC Radio Manchester have since said that health insurance premiums have now been paid and they were able to resume training on Tuesday.
Endeavoring to persevere since 1965 (8-1 home win against QPR)

According to Joe Sealey, the owner, Amar Alkhadi, lives in Ibiza and apparently only communicates via Whats App.

Does anyone know if this game is going ahead? The last article I read suggested Macclesfield players were deciding on whether to strike or not. Since then I've checked the official sites but its all pretty quiet.

I think we’d have heard now if it’s off (hopefully).

My guess would be game on with their first team playing

This is not fair on JD and the Mansfield players. There needs to be a quick decision within the next hour as to whether the game is going ahead or not.

Surely they are preparing as if the game is on.
