Good job for Paul a very decent guy and good manager for Kettering to get.
Most loyal and honest fans would wish him all the best there.

Why?. Surely CJ is still good enough to play for Kettering despite his poor form and lack of confidence?

I bet the Kettering players wish they were earning same as ours. A stint in their boots would do some of ours the world of good.

Great to see Paul Cox back in football management at Kettering Town in National League North. He will be back together with Lindon Meikle. Aaron O'Connor and Luke Graham are also at Kettering. He has a big job on his hands as The Poppies are currently bottom of the league. Good luck Paul. I'll definitely try and get to a game to cheer you on.

I went to Latimer Park last season to watch Kettering Town beat AFC Mansfield 2-1 in the FA Cup. The Kettering Town manager was Marcus Law who was interviewed for the Mansfield manager's job back in 2011 when Paul Cox was appointed as Mansfield manager just ahead of Justin Edinburgh.

Hope he keeps them up. Great bloke Paul Cox. Out of all the big talkers in the past 10 years he’s the only one who has done the business when it really matters.

Rheady is looking for another football league club. He's also doing his coaching badges.

Absolutely, some will say he had amasssive budget, maybe so, but so did df and the Scottish guy. But Coxy delivered the Promised land. Legend, and up there with Jack who delivered also.

Wish him all the best. The style he employed here wasn't total football but was executed very well. I feel had we been able to keep hold of matt Green he'd have had a better season than what we ended up with. Brought promotion to us for the first time since 01/02 season. Its a results based business and Cox got the results, arguably 2 seasons in a row.

Ready left Billericay because their mad owner Glenn Tamplin pulled his funding because he was getting abuse from the fans regarding sacking the manager, Harry Wheeler, after insisting his 16 year old son should play more in the team. Billericay then said they could not afford to pay him any more and were threatening to go into administration:

"However, just weeks after joining the Essex club, he was told he could leave as part of a round of cost-cutting measures. Owner Glenn Tamplin left the club in September and Rhead’s departure, along other higher-earners at the club, was confirmed soon after. Prior to his departure, Tamplin sacked manager Harry Wheeler and replaced him with his assistant, former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara.

"I signed for them and everything was all right,” explained Rhead, who won two league titles and the Checkatrade Trophy during his time at Sincil Bank. “Then the chairman [Tamplin] said he wasn’t putting any more money in, which was a shame. “They just said I could find another club. It left me in a tough situation, one I didn’t think was going to happen six weeks before when I signed. There were three of us, Gav Gunning and Craig Robson, who were the higher earns. We were basically told we had to get off the wage bill or the club could go into administration. That’s not something you want on your CV.”

Rheady was on big money at Billericay. He was earning a lot more than some League 2 players. I think he also got a signing on fee.

Not sure I agree with that. Hes a pretty average dinosaur of a manager. He had a huge budget with us and got us play offs. In the title year we were dog awful till the FA cup inspired something and we went on a run the likes of which we'll never see again. It was pretty lucky...

I'm forever grateful for what he did and what happened but to suggest hes a superb manager is crazy. He had the biggest budget in the league. A huge squad of ex league and experienced conference players. We played awful football but somehow managed an amazing winning streak.

Good luck to him. Decent guy but superb? No.

Off topic, but I've never understood 'dinosaur' as an insult. As a species they were arguably the most successful ever to walk the Earth. They dominated the planet for 300 million years & even an environmental catastrophe saw them adapt & survive as birds.

Just 2 million years for the shaved apes, with less than half of that as the apex species on the planet and we've trashed the place.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.
