Reasons to be cheerful...

Postby markntalbot » Sun Sep 08, 2019 7:24 am

Brilliant crowd - when did we last get that level of support when things have started so badly?
Off the field so much progress - have we forgotten what we had under Haslam?
Optimism - we have some great players, and given time this team will gel.

The manager - can we expect any better so far given his league experience? There is a long way to go this season and it will take him time.

I thought that as well Mark. If Scunny had not being doing so bad then we would have had over 5,000.

Pathetic following from Scunthorpe IMO. Would have expected at least 1,000, it’s not that far!

We'd have taken well less than them if we'd been in their position.

Read the forum and digest, I doubt many would've travelled looking at their posts, they'd be too busy looking for the nearest razor to open their wrists up and end it all.

That is absolutely laughable Spiritater.

The year we were relegated to the Conference our away following was sublime.

Our run in of away fixtures was Bradford (569), Bury (414), Notts County (3317), Stockport (302 Tuesday), Macc (832) & Dagenham (1023)/

Absolutely right. Would have taken 300 tops with the rest sat on the internet slagging the squad/JD off regardless of the result.

Not a chance would we.

Still early season and we’ve not been to Scunthorpe since the opening game of our return to the EFL.

We’d have taken 700/800 easily.

its so cringe its unbelievable. The same fans moan that we need to make the mill more intimidating towards the opposition yet applause them for any away support they bring.....the mind boggles.

Mansfield would easily beat that scenario swapped around.

Fair play to those scunny fans that did watch that drivel though.
